Job Description: CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with one or more years of experience in consulting engineering. This candidate must have a strong and innovative technical background in electrical engineering and a proven ability to design the electrical aspects of energy‑efficient buildings and complex infrastructure projects. The role requires leadership, self‑motivation, and a passion for helping our team and clients succeed.
In this role, you will serve as an Electrical Engineer responsible for design and production work on projects of all sizes, a Project Manager collaborating with internal and external teams, a Client Champion delivering responsive service, and an Employee Advocate promoting our core values through teaching, training, mentoring, and collaboration.
The position is responsible for designing electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, renewable energy systems, fire alarm systems, low‑voltage systems, and IT safety/security/ access control coordination for bidding and construction purposes. You will engage with a team of engineers throughout all project phases.
Office Location: Lafayette, CA
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in‑office, 2 days remote
Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
