Job summary

Border States in Pewaukee, WI is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support daily operations of the Customer Service Team. The role focuses on promoting sales, obtaining orders, and delivering timely customer service, including handling inquiries, pricing, and coordinating deliveries.

Candidates should have a 2-year degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years of customer service or sales in electrical products, and proficiency with Windows/Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• 2-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of customer service, city desk, or sales experience with knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems; 2+ years of electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong working knowledge of PC Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), internet, email, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed Branch sales and gross profit objectives.
• Obtain orders and provide proactive customer service including order entry, expediting, pricing, returns, and coordinating deliveries.
• Provide timely follow-up on technical inquiries.
• Maintain Open Order Reports, Billing Block Reports, and other required reports.
• Actively participate in marketing and sale of Border States’ products and services.
• Provide responsive, quality service to meet customer expectations.
• Input to pricing, inventory, and product evaluations, and related functions.
