Job summary

Border States in Florence, SC seeks a Customer Service Representative to support day‑to‑day customer service activities, promote sales, obtain orders, and provide service to customers. You will handle order entry, follow up on inquiries, and assist with pricing, deliveries, and billing issues.

The role requires 2+ years in customer service or sales with electrical products knowledge, English proficiency, and experience with SAP/MS Office. On‑site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent in work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior customer service, city desk, or sales experience with strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems with prior electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.
• Proficiency with PC for Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with sales and marketing staff to meet and exceed branch sales and gross profit objectives.
• Obtains orders and provides proactive customer service, including order entry, expediting, pricing, returns, and deliveries.
• Provides timely follow-up on customer technical inquiries and requests.
• Maintains Open Order Reports, Billing Block Reports and other necessary reports.
• Participates in marketing and sale of Border States' products and services.
• Provides input on pricing, inventory management, and product evaluations.
• Resolves customer billing problems with Customer Financial Services.
