Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Greenville, SC seeks a Customer Service Representative to support the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service Team.

You will obtain orders, provide follow-up on technical inquiries, and assist in pricing, billing, and inventory-related tasks while promoting Border States’ products and services. The ideal candidate has a minimum of a 2-year degree and at least 2 years of customer service or sales experience with strong knowledge of electrical products;

Qualifications

• 2-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of customer service, city desk, or sales experience with knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), internet, email, and SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed Branch sales and gross profit objectives.
• Obtain orders and provide proactive customer service including order entry, expediting, pricing, returns, and coordinating deliveries.
• Provide timely follow-up on customer technical inquiries and requests.
• Maintain Open Order Reports, Billing Block Reports and other necessary reports.
• Participate in marketing and sale of Border States’ products and services.
• Provide responsive, quality service to meet customer expectations.
