Job summary

QED, founded in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to connect with customers by phone or in person, take orders, and promote products across electrical supplies. You will liaise with credit, warehouse, outside sales and management to ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery.

Daily tasks include calculating delivery dates, pulling inventory, preparing quotes, and processing sales tickets with proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to present information to managers, clients, and the public.
• Strong math skills including basic operations and percentages.
• Knowledge of QED computer systems or equivalent software.
• Team player who adheres to core values and beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers by phone or in person to receive orders.
• Solicit sale of new or additional products.
• Maintain professional interpersonal relations with customers and co-workers.
• Liaise between customer and QED departments (credit, warehouse, outside sales, management).
• Identify product needs using catalogs, references, and pricing systems.
• Prepare quotes, terms, and delivery information for customers.
• Process cash or charge sales tickets and record-keeping for shipments.
• Estimate delivery dates and coordinate with delivery schedules.
• Assist with purchasing materials per approved procedures.
• Address and resolve billing or product complaints with designated departments.
• Prepare correspondence and business reports.
• Follow up on quotations to secure orders.
• Handle customer issues diplomatically and escalate when needed.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers and staff.
• Warehouse duties: shipping, receiving, inventory control, order pulling.
• Other duties as assigned.
