Job summary

Capital Electric, a Capital Electric distributor, is seeking a motivated Counter Sales associate at our Winchester, VA location to sell electrical products and assist customers with selections. You will develop customer relationships to help Capital Electric remain the Electrical Distributor of Choice.

The role includes greeting customers, handling orders, and supporting warehouse functions while aiming to meet monthly sales and gross margin goals. Training provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred, but training provided.
• Good math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer and MS Office literate.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls
• Greet walk-in customers
• Assist customers with order and provide product selection
• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly
• Promote and sell promotions
• Assist with warehouse functions
• Reach monthly sales and gross margin goals
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism toward customers
• Multi-task and prioritize daily tasks
• Other duties as required
