Job summary

Dakota Supply Group in Helena, MT seeks an Electrical Counter Sales Associate to assist customers at the City Desk and support warehouse duties. This full-time, hourly role typically runs 7 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for business needs.

You will handle order placement, quotes, and product inquiries, and contribute to a team-focused environment while maintaining an organized counter and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Electrical product knowledge gained via college/technical school or 3–5 years field experience.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across various settings (in-person, phone, email).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
• Active listening to determine customer needs.
• Superior problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with computers; Eclipse or ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders at the City Desk.
• Assist customers professionally with product inquiries.
• Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and promptly.
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support.
• Collaborate with sales team to resolve customer service issues.
• Restock the counter area by product brand and location.
• Monitor product inventory and remove damaged items.
• Maintain a clean, appealing counter display area.
• Encourage the sale of additional products where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
