Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC is seeking a friendly, customer-focused sales associate for its Hauppauge location. You will greet walk-in customers, assist with product selection, enter orders, and process payments while providing excellent service.

You will maintain displays, prioritize tasks, and work toward monthly sales and gross margin targets, including promoting digital tools to customers. Experience in sales or electrical knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Sales experience or electrical knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate information and present solutions to customers.
• Ability to operate computers and relevant software.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers and assist with order and product selection.
• Enter sales orders and pick items from warehouse inventory.
• Prepare customer sales ticket and collect payment.
• Handle phone-in customers with courteous etiquette.
• Maintain counter area displays clean, organized, and stocked.
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
• Encourage use of digital tools across customer base.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
