Job summary

Amazon's OneMHS program seeks an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical power distribution and control systems for material handling projects. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and scalable architectures, working with mechanical, software, and project teams.

You will design power and control layouts, select sensors and drives, and ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA 70.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical power design for material handling systems.
• Strong background in controls engineering for complex automation.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design all power and controls systems for MH projects, including distribution and layouts.
• Develop and standardize panels, schematics, and control architectures.
• Specify and integrate VFDs, sensors, encoders, and safety devices.
• Implement industrial networks (EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET) and PLC/SCADA solutions.
• Conduct in-field installation audits and ensure NEC compliance.
