Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager of Electrical & Controls Engineering to lead a team responsible for electrical power systems and controls for material handling projects. The role emphasizes safety, scalability, and operational excellence, with strategic leadership across design, development, and implementation.

You will guide architecture, manage resources, and ensure adherence to NEC/NFPA standards while delivering reliable, modular power distribution and control solutions for complex material

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years of industrial controls and automation experience, or Master’s degree in related field.
• Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead.
• TCP/IP networking fundamentals and IP protocols (DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, SNMP).
• SolidWorks CAD experience and best practices for part design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical and controls engineers.
• Set strategic direction for electrical/controls engineering aligned with program goals.
• Oversee power distribution design for material handling projects.
• Ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA and safety standards across designs.
• Drive in-field installation audits and assurance of code compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
