Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer for One MHS in Westborough, MA to design, develop, and implement power distribution and control systems for material handling projects, focusing on safety, scalability, and operational excellence.

You will work with mechanical, software, and project management teams, ensure NEC compliance, select VFDs, sensors, and safety devices, and contribute to standardization and knowledge sharing across the OneMHS program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering.
• 4+ years in electrical and controls design for industrial/material handling systems.
• Strong knowledge of EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET.
• Experience with IPCs, PLCs, and SCADA system design.
• Familiarity with NEC NFPA 70 and safety devices.

Responsibilities

• Design power and controls systems for material handling projects.
• Develop electrical layouts, schematics, and panel standards.
• Implement industrial networks and control architectures.
• Conduct in-field audits to ensure NEC/code compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop design standards.
