Job summary

Amazon is seeking a dynamic Manager, Electrical & Controls Engineering to lead the electrical power systems and controls function within One MHS. You will oversee design, development, and implementation of power distribution and control systems for material handling projects while guiding a team of engineers to deliver scalable, safe, and reliable solutions.

The role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with mechanical, software, and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of industrial controls and automation experience, or a Master’s degree with relevant experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of NEC code, electrical design, and safety practices.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent CAD tools.
• Deep understanding of EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical and controls engineers, driving excellence and accountability.
• Set strategic direction for electrical and controls, aligning with program goals.
• Oversee power distribution, panel design, and control architectures for material handling projects.
• Coordinate with mechanical, software, and project management teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure NEC code compliance and implement safety and design standards.
• Drive commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities across projects.
