Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Specialist for our Corpus Christi, TX project. You will be at the forefront of data center construction, providing on-site technical support, interpreting drawings and documents, and guiding revision control across teams.

You will collaborates with home office engineering, external firms, and client representatives to resolve design and field issues, ensuring timely responses and adherence to project specifications.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in electrical engineering or 8–10 years in heavy-industrial construction management.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues by interpreting drawings and specifications; expediting home office response to meet project needs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including input to change management.
• Engage in the permitting process with AHJs and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Collaborate with Design-Build contractors as they move to field operations.
• Ensure revision control and timely management of all construction documents.
