Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX project, offering hybrid work arrangements. The role involves leading on-site technical support, documentation control, and coordination with design-build teams on world-class data center construction projects.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in electrical engineering or construction management, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities including life sciences and datacenters.
• Understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including input to change management.
• Engage in permitting with AHJs and work with design-build contractors in the field.
• Lead construction document management and coordinate revisions with subcontractors.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the team to meet project objectives.
• Resolve nonconformities in collaboration with field quality, contractor, and home office engineering.
