Job summary

Jacobs seeks an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX data center project. You will liaise with home office engineering, manage technical documents, and guide field teams through complex electrical construction activities.

Expect at least 10 years in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in heavy-industrial construction, with strong reading of electrical drawings, permitting, and leadership on multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical engineering or 15-20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities including life sciences and datacenters.
• Understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as technically competent lead in response to contractor or other party requests for specification deviation within the project deviation process.
• Lead the construction document management process with oversight from a construction document control lead.
• Coordinate with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives on on-site technical issues.
• Engage in permitting processes with AHJs and work with Design-Build contractors in the field.
• Ensure clear communication with subcontractors and manage revision-controlled drawings and documents.
• Resolve nonconformities (NCRs) with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering.
