Job summary

Jacobs seeks an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX project. You will liaise with home office engineering and clients, provide on-site technical support, and manage revision-controlled drawings and documents.

The role requires extensive electrical engineering or heavy-industrial construction experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead teams through permitting, field work, and NCR resolution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial process facilities including life sciences and data centers.
• Understanding construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support in interpretation of engineering released documents, specifications, and drawings; input to change management.
• Engage in the permitting process with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Work with Design-Build contractors once their efforts move to the field.
• Communicate with subcontractors to ensure revision-controlled management of drawings and documents.
• Lead the construction document management process; provide oversight and guidance through a construction document control lead.
• Act as lead in response to contractor or other party request for specification deviation in work.
• Collaborate with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering to resolve Nonconformities (NCRs).
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to your team toward meeting these objectives.
