Job summary

Harlan Electric Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support electrical transmission and distribution construction projects. You will assist in oversight to ensure timely delivery, profitability, and strong client relationships across the upper Midwest and Northeast U.S.

The role requires at least 1 year in construction and a relevant degree; strong communication, organizational, and safety knowledge are essential. Travel to job sites and conferences may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the construction industry or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with a wide range of project duties.
• Develop efficient solutions to issues that arise on projects.
• Review bid specifications and drawings carefully.
• Communicate with clients continuously.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and progress reports.
• Create construction schedules using MS Projects or Primavera.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed.
