Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Construction Technical Services Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX data center project. You will liaise with home office engineering and contractors, provide on-site technical support, and manage construction documents and deviations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities including life sciences and datacenters.
• Understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering release documents, specs and drawings; contribute to change management.
• Engage in permitting processes with AHJs and coordinate with Design-Build contractors in the field.
• Lead the construction document management process and oversee document control team.
• Ensure effective communication with subcontractors for revision-controlled drawings and documents.
• Resolve nonconformities with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the team toward objective achievement.
