Job summary

3M is seeking an Electrical Markets Division Construction & Industrial End-User Sales Professional for the New England region. The role focuses on driving profitable sales, developing territory business plans, and prioritizing customers, markets, and distributors while coordinating with multiple divisions.

The position requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree with relevant experience and a valid driver's license; remote work is allowed within the Boston territory and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and 3 years direct sales and/or electrical construction/industrial experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• OR Associate’s degree and 5 years of electrical industry sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Sales experience in the Electric C&I Market.
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications.
• Field/Channel sales experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels.
• Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within assigned territory.
• Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization.
• Strong computer skills, Database management: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce.com.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Strong team player, ability to work effectively with peers.

Responsibilities

• Driving profitable sales for the C&I business in the assigned territory.
• Developing, implementing, and executing effective territory business plans.
• Prioritizing your end customers, markets, and distributors to drive effective territory management.
• Implementing promotions, and directives as set by division management.
• Collaborating across other C&I territories and within other 3M EMD Divisions to meet customer needs.
