Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with the electrical discipline and project leads. You will use Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD to create fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings, working with other designers, architects and engineers to deliver constructible deliverables.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
3+ years BIM design experience.
3+ years electrical systems design experience.
Understanding of codes and standards.
Understanding design and construction specifications.
Knowledge of wiring/cabling connections.
Experience with client design standards.
Familiarity with Bluebeam.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to estimate design hours.
Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Design documentation for Electrical BIM projects and manage Revit BIM models.
Coordinate with discipline BIM leads and team members to ensure constructible deliverables.
Work with Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD to create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings.
Ensure models adhere to Jacobs and client BIM standards and are clash-free.
Collaborate with designers, architects and engineers to produce coordinated deliverables.
