Job summary

Basaran Grinder Corp. in Hauppauge, NY seeks an Electrical Automation Engineer Level 4 Senior to lead complex machine and automation programs, solving the most difficult electrical, motion, safety, and commissioning challenges.

The senior engineer sets sound technical direction and raises the capability of the electrical team. You will set electrical architecture for CNC machines and robotics, translate performance and safety requirements into specifications, review high-risk designs, mentor

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with industrial automation, machine controls, or comparably complex capital equipment.
• Expert command of power distribution, motion, PLCs, HMIs, drives, networks, safety circuits, and diagnostics.
• History of leading designs from requirements through build, commissioning, correction, and acceptance.
• Strong practical judgment and ability to identify electrical and controls risks before release.
• Ability to mentor engineers and conduct rigorous design and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Set the electrical architecture for complex CNC machines, multi-machine cells, robotics, gaging, and supporting systems.
• Translate machine-performance, uptime, safety, service, and customer requirements into electrical specifications.
• Review high-risk power, motion, safety, network designs before release.
• Lead root-cause analysis for intermittent faults, servo instability, electrical noise, network failures, and safety-system issues.
• Mentor Levels 1 through 3 and improve schematics, standards, libraries, checklists, and commissioning methods.
• Represent electrical engineering in technical discussions with customers, control suppliers, panel builders, and integrators.

Leads complex machine and automation programs and solves themost difficult electrical, motion, safety, and commissioning problems. Thesenior engineer establishes sound technical direction and raises the capabilityof the electrical team.

Preferred Experience ( 15+ years)

• CNC, FANUC, Siemens, robotic-cell, or high-precision machine-toolexperience
• Experience with applicable machine electrical, control-panel, andfunctional-safety standards
• Customer-site commissioning and technical recovery experience

• Full-time position based primarily on-site in Hauppauge, New York
• Typical company schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m.; specific hours depend on the role
