Job summary

Basaran Grinder Corporation is seeking an Electrical Automation Engineer Level 1 Junior to support electrical design, documentation, wiring, and startup of CNC grinding machines. This role suits engineers who understand electrical fundamentals and want hands-on industrial automation experience.

Based on site in Hauppauge, NY, the position offers full-time on-site employment with standard hours and competitive compensation. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Understanding AC/DC circuits, three-phase power, motors, sensors, relays, and basic controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use a digital multimeter safely.
• Organized documentation habits and willingness to work hands-on at the machine.
• Ability to learn from review comments and follow electrical safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable schedules, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Apply Basaran drawing, wire-numbering, device-tagging, and documentation standards.
• Assist with component selection, panel assembly, machine wiring, continuity checks, and I/O checkout.
• Make controlled PLC or HMI changes under review and document every revision.
• Use meters and drawings to troubleshoot basic power, sensor, solenoid, relay, and wiring issues.
• Support engineers and technicians during machine power-up, testing, and corrective work.

Position Summary

Supports the electrical design, documentation, wiring, andstartup of CNC grinding machines under regular guidance. This level is intendedfor an engineer who understands electrical fundamentals and wants to develophands-on industrial automation capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable schedules,panel layouts, and bills of materials
• Apply established Basaran drawing, wire-numbering, device-tagging, anddocumentation standards
• Assist with component selection, panel assembly, machine wiring,continuity checks, and I/O checkout

• Use meters and drawings to troubleshoot basic power, sensor, solenoid,relay, and wiring issues

Required Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or FANUC coursework or project experience

Produces accurate updates, follows safe work practices,closes assigned startup items, and steadily becomes more independent.

• Full-time position based primarily on-site in Hauppauge, New York
• Typical company schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m.; specific hours depend on the role
