Job summary

Basaran Grinder Corporation is seeking an electrical design engineer to design standard power, control, safety, sensor, motor, drive, and field-wiring circuits, and to produce buildable documentation for our precision machines.

This on-site role in Hauppauge, New York requires hands-on PLC and HMI programming, familiarity with three-phase power, VFDs, sensors, and the ability to resolve routine automation problems with limited supervision, while coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Design and release industrial electrical circuits.
• Knowledge of three-phase power, 24 VDC controls, motors, VFDs, sensors, and machine safety.
• Experience with electrical CAD and industrial bills of materials.
• Basic PLC and HMI programming or commissioning experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with meters, schematics, and diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Design standard power, control, safety, sensor, motor, drive, and field-wiring circuits.
• Develop panel layouts, BOMs, cable schedules, I/O assignments, and installation documentation.
• Program or modify routine PLC logic, HMI functions, alarms, and machine sequences.
• Support panel checkout, machine wiring, drive setup, I/O verification, and startup.
• Resolve documentation, wiring, sensor, communication, and component-selection issues with manufacturing and suppliers.

Job description

Designs standard machine electrical circuits and supportscomplete machine wiring and commissioning with limited supervision. Thisengineer can select common components, produce buildable documentation, andresolve routine automation problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design standard power, control, safety, sensor, motor, drive, and field-wiring circuits
• Select circuit protection, power supplies, contactors, relays, sensors,valves, motors, drives, and industrial-network components
• Develop panel layouts, bills of materials, cable schedules, I/Oassignments, and installation documentation
• Program or modify routine PLC logic, HMI functions, alarms, and machinesequences
• Support panel checkout, machine wiring, drive setup, I/O verification,and startup
• Resolve documentation, wiring, sensor, communication, andcomponent-selection issues with manufacturing and suppliers

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to design and release industrial electricalcircuits
• Working knowledge of three-phase power, 24 VDC controls, motors, VFDs,servos, sensors, and machine safety
• Experience with electrical CAD and industrial bills of materials
• Basic PLC and HMI programming or commissioning experience
• Hands-on troubleshooting ability using meters, schematics, anddiagnostic software

Preferred Experience ( 5+ years)

• Machine-tool, robotics, automation, packaging, or capital-equipmentexperience
• Allen-Bradley, Siemens, FANUC, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profinetexperience
• Experience building or commissioning industrial control panels

What Success Looks Like

Releases complete standard designs, supports orderlystartup, and resolves routine problems without constant direction.

• Full-time position based primarily on-site in Hauppauge, New York
• Typical company schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m.; specific hours depend on the role
