Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Assembler for the Electric Heat division. You will assemble heater unit product codes and fabricate components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications. This weekend shift offers a 3-day work week with 12-hour shifts.

We value candidates with basic experience and a high school diploma; training on ASME brazing procedures is preferred, and you will work with electrical components, thermostats, and other options.

Qualifications

• Certification in ASME brazing procedures (BPS-B1 to BPS-B5).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Physical ability to stand; lift up to 25 pounds; work in a loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Paint product as necessary.
• Install and wire Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricate bussing, and solder connections.
• Test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
