Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an assembler for its Electric Heat business to assemble heater unit product codes and fabricate components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications. You will lay out diagrams and perform electrical assembly tasks daily, with emphasis on precision and safety.

The role involves manual work, adherence to ASME brazing procedures, and routine collaboration with supervision and engineering to resolve assembly issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified in ASME brazing procedures (BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5).
• Regularly stand; use hands and arms; may lift up to 25 pounds; exposure to loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
