Job summary

SPX Technologies, including ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, is seeking an assembler for our Electric Heat division. You will assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work order, blueprint, and engineering spec, delivering reliable, energy-efficient heating solutions.

Key tasks include laying out electrical installations, wiring thermostats, testing components, and collaborating with engineering to resolve assembly issues.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Certification in ASME brazing procedures: BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
