Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Assembler for its Electric Heat division. You will assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs.

Expect to work with wiring diagrams, participate in layout and assembly, and collaborate with engineering to resolve problems. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• ASME brazing procedures BPS-B1 to BPS-B5 certifications preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs routinely.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagrams for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes for mounting control units as required.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers and insulators.
• Paint product when needed and install wires for Thermostats and options.
• Fabricate bussing and solder connections; test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss assembly issues with supervision or engineering to clarify problems.
