Job summary

SPX Technologies' Electric Heat division is seeking a Wirer to assemble heater unit product codes and fabricate components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications.

You will lay out diagrams for electrical installations, drill and tap mounting holes, wire components, test assemblies, and collaborate with supervision to resolve production issues. 1–3 months related experience and a high school diploma or GED are expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes for mounting control units.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paint product as necessary.
• Install and wire thermostats and other options.
• Fabricate bussing and solder connections.
• Test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss diagram or production order issues with supervision or engineering.
