Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an assembler for the Electric Heat division to lay out and assemble heater unit codes per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs. You will contribute to building reliable heating solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Responsibilities include electrical installation layouts, drilling, wiring breakers, testing, and painting to meet quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

Required Experience includes one to three months related experience and/or training.
Certified in the following ASME brazing procedures, BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
Hydro test per specification.
Paints product as necessary.
Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
Tests and adjusts electrical components.
Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
