Job summary

SPX Technologies in Missouri’s Pacific region seeks an Assembler to support the Electric Heat business. You will assemble heater unit components and fabricate parts per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications.

The role requires 1–3 months related experience, and candidates with ASME brazing certifications (BPS-B1 to BPS-B5) and a high school diploma are preferred. Ability to stand, reach and lift up to 25 pounds is needed.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• ASME brazing procedure certification (BPS-B1 to BPS-B5).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Stands, lifts up to 25 pounds, and performs manual tasks.
• Ability to read diagrams and electrical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
