Job summary

Summit Electric Supply in Houston, TX is seeking an Account Manager to develop and maintain long-term relationships with external customers across multiple locations. You will leverage product knowledge and a consultative approach to deliver exceptional service and drive sales growth.

As part of the sales team, you will research new opportunities, follow up with customers, and regularly visit sites to promote Summit's products and services.

Qualifications

• Significant sales and negotiating experience in electrical distribution or related sectors.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and meet customers' needs.

Responsibilities

• Understand product benefits, warranties, and Summit services to offer customers.
• Call upon accounts to sell Summit products and services.
• Travel regularly to customer sites and locations as needed.
• Negotiate profitable pricing with customers and suppliers.
• Provide timely quotes and respond to customer requirements.
• Authorize pricing and purchase materials as needed for orders.
• Coordinate with customer service to follow up on orders and issues.
• Resolve customer concerns to build loyalty and collect funds when needed.
