Job summary

Ameren Transmission is seeking a Transmission Contractor Services Supervisor to oversee day-to-day vendor-based transmission line and substation crews, ensuring work complies with contracts and safety rules.

You will provide input to project planning, manage contractor crews, monitor budgets and schedules, and coordinate with customers, contractors and other departments. Overnight travel may be required as projects vary by location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Five or more years of relevant experience in electric transmission or a heavy industrial or military environment, including a minimum of three years in a supervisor role.
• Journeyman line or journeyman substation experience preferred.
• Utility experience preferred; supervisory or contractor leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to project planning and design.
• Manage, develop, and evaluate contractor crews engaged in construction, maintenance and inspection of electric system facilities.
• Provide clear expectations for performance, including safety and quality through observations and audits.
• Schedule, assign, and direct work in a safe, efficient, and effective manner per contracts and agreements.
• Maintain regular contact with contractor supervisory personnel to assess manpower, equipment, tools and material needs.
• Monitor and control project budgets and schedules to ensure resources and timelines.
• Provide budgetary cost tracking documentation and construction timeline schedules.
• Document project scope changes and provide updates as required.
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, stakeholders, and other company departments.
• Consistently enforce WPA, LOTO and safety rules; conduct Safety Observations.
• Contribute to department goals and implement improvements to reduce costs and improve productivity.
