Job summary

Ameren is seeking a Transmission Contractor Services Supervisor to oversee vendor-based construction crews for electric transmission facilities. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and coordination with customers and departments.

Responsibilities include planning input, supervising crews, enforcing safety rules, and ensuring projects stay on time and within budget. Overnight travel may be required depending on project locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering or construction management.
• Five+ years in electric transmission or heavy industrial environments with supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Journeyman line or journeyman substation experience preferred; utility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to project planning and design.
• Manage contractor crews in construction, maintenance and inspection of electric facilities.
• Set clear safety and quality expectations through observations and audits.
• Schedule and direct work per contracts and agreements.
• Maintain contact with contractor leadership to assess manpower and resources.
• Monitor budgets and schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Provide cost tracking documentation and construction timeline updates.
• Document scope changes and provide project updates as required.
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, stakeholders and other departments.
• Enforce WPA, LOTO and safety rules consistently.
