Job summary

Ameren Transmission is seeking a Transmission Contractor Services Supervisor to oversee vendor-based transmission line and substation construction crews and ensure work complies with contracts, safety rules, and Ameren policies.

The role involves planning input, directing crews, coordinating with customers and stakeholders, managing budgets and schedules, and enforcing WPA/LOTO safety practices on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant experience in electric transmission or electric distribution required, or five+ years in heavy industrial/military environment with at least three years in a supervisor role.
• Journeyman line or journeyman substation experience preferred.
• Utility experience preferred.
• Supervisory or contractor leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Input to project planning and design.
• Manage and evaluate contractor crews for construction, maintenance, and inspection of electric facilities.
• Set clear performance expectations including safety and quality through observations and audits.
• Schedule and direct work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contracts.
• Maintain contact with contractor supervisors to assess manpower and resources.
• Monitor budgets and schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion.
• Provide cost tracking documentation and construction timelines.
• Document scope changes and provide project updates as required.
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, stakeholders, and other departments.
• Enforce WPA, LOTO, and safety rules consistently.
• Enforce corporate policies with contractor crews.
• Contribute to department goals and identify improvements to reduce costs and improve productivity.
