Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a customer service-focused individual to support the Electric Service Center, handling high volumes of calls and requests for new installs, upgrades, and service removals for residential and commercial customers.

You will process requests via phone, web, email, and fax, ensuring complete customer and contractor information and clear work descriptions, while adhering to policy requirements and delivering superior service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electrical technology or two years of related experience preferred.
• Experience of two years in related field is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and codes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information for design and construction of service requests and answer questions from customers.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and municipal officials.
• Provides upfront cost estimates.
• Processes electrical inspections, prepayments, and contributions in aid of construction.
• Handles non-design job types from initiation to completion.
• Coordinates with Engineering, Electric Operations, Customer Billing Services, and Remittance Services.
• Updates work requests with field notes, customer appointments, and progress.
• Fulfills emergency storm assignment as required.
