WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking a Service Engineering Specialist to support electric motors and related industrial products through technical troubleshooting, startup assistance, warranty evaluation, repair support, and post-sales technical assistance to customers, distributors, and field service personnel.

This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in electric motors, electrical systems, industrial maintenance, electromechanical equipment, or related technical disciplines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant electrical/technical experience.
• Background in electric motors, electromechanical equipment, or electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and interpret technical manuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for customer support.
• Experience using databases to document service activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to customers and end users by phone or email for basic product start-up.
• Provides after-hours phone support.
• Sends Field Service Request Form to customers as needed.
• Assists field support personnel by phone or email with drawings and resources.
• Sends Return Authorization Request Form when appropriate.
• Records call and email details in the technical support database.
• Reviews field service reports for warranty validation.
• Performs product inspections and root-cause analysis for warranty decisions.
• Provides quotes for product repairs.
• Keeps benches and repairs lab organized.
• Assists parts department in identifying parts for customers.
• Provides backup to Field Service Engineer and Repair Lab Engineer.
