Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Service Engineering Specialist to support its Automation team in Duluth, GA. You will troubleshoot LV drives, soft starters, PLCs, HMIs, and related motor control solutions, providing remote diagnostics and guiding field personnel.

This role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Product Management, plus documentation and customer training support. Travel is limited, schedule is Monday–Friday, with equal emphasis on customer service and technical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
2+ years in industrial automation support or related fields.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, or BACnet).
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote connections for WEG Automation products (LV drives, soft starters, PLCs, HMIs).
Troubleshoot electrical, control, programming, and communication issues using diagnostic processes.
Perform remote diagnostics and identify root causes with corrective actions.
Coordinate on-site interventions and escalate to Field Service or Senior Support Engineers when needed.
Document interactions, troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the support database.
