Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the execution of the VWNA Management System and H&S programs. You will train, coach and monitor workforce, develop policies, procedures, and awareness initiatives to achieve high safety standards.

Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health & Safety, you will drive incident investigations, audits, and continuous improvement across multiple sites, with frequent travel and collaboration with operations, risk, HR and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in safety, chemistry, environmental science, water resources or related field.
• Experience with management systems (ISO) and safety program implementation a plus.
• 5+ years managing health & safety programs in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, security, and compliance across operations and projects.
• Develop and sustain a proactive zero-tolerance H&S culture with teams and clients.
• Evaluate Management Systems and H&S programs for value and improvement.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Coordinate audits, reporting, and action plans to close gaps.
• Coach and supervise H&S Coordinators; liaise with departments as needed.
