Job summary

Skanska seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to integrate EHS practices into project delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate SHEMS. You will partner with EHS staff, superintendents, project management, and leadership to drive safety improvements.

You will develop programs, train teams, conduct inspections, and lead incident investigations while maintaining records and supporting onboarding of subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years identifying safety hazards and recommending controls.
• 5+ years in a safety role that required communicating with employees at all levels in a construction environment.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer EHS programs and training.
• Lead surveys, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Maintain EHS records and performance data.
• Manage subcontractor EHS onboarding and documentation.
• Support safety and pre-construction meetings.
• Lead site walks, compliance checks, and emergency preparedness activities.
