Job summary

Skanska is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to gain hands-on experience in building and construction safety on active projects. You will assist in identifying EHS risks and maintaining incident reports and training records under the supervision of EHS managers and coordinators.

The role requires strong communication, adaptability, and a willingness to learn about project dynamics and safety protocols while collaborating with diverse teams, including trade partners.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Working towards a bachelor's in Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent through experience

Responsibilities

• Support the project team by gaining a basic understanding of building and construction safety.
• Identify and assess EHS risks during different phases of the project.
• Maintain important safety documentation, such as incident reports and training records.
• Provide safety support and technical assistance to project teams while learning to identify and mitigate hazards.

Education

Bachelor's in Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent through experience
