Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Experience in a leadership role is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Health and Safety Acts.
• Ability to train and mentor staff; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety training and orientation for workers and subcontractors.
• Review project plans and sites for safety risks.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, inspectors, subcontractors, and the public.
• Improve Health and Safety Programs with senior management.
• Represent the company at meetings on workplace health and safety.
• Support safety management plans, inspections, audits, and safety committees.
• Mentor project staff in safety procedures.
• Track and report safety statistics.
• Assist in Return to Work and Modified duties cases.
• Develop EHS supporting documents.
