Job summary

Aecon is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to deliver expert health and safety guidance across projects. You will audit programs, develop corrective actions, and partner with leadership to continuously improve workplace safety.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years coordinating safety for construction, are proficient with OSHA regulations, and can mentor staff while maintaining rigorous documentation and reporting standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Leadership experience required in a safety context.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and related legislation.
• Ability to identify training gaps and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety training and orientation for workers and subcontractors.
• Review project plans to identify safety risks before work starts.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and inspectors as needed.
• Improve Health and Safety Programs with senior management guidance.
• Represent Aecon in meetings on workplace safety matters.
• Lead safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations as required.
• Maintain EHS documentation and data, including CCVs and return‑to‑work programs.
