Job summary

Aecon U.S. is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to support projects nationwide from our North Carolina base. You will advise project supervisors, audit programs, and drive safety improvements across sites, including regulatory liaison and incident investigations.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of construction safety leadership, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to obtain nuclear facility clearance. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Knowledge of applicable Health and Safety Acts and OSHA regulations.
• Post-secondary education in Health and Safety or related field.
• Ability to obtain clearance for nuclear facilities and badge access.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide health and safety advice to project line supervisors.
• Audit EHS programs and develop corrective actions.
• Develop site-specific safety training and orientation.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and subcontractors.
• Lead safety program improvements with senior management.
• Manage incident investigations and reporting.
• Maintain prequalification databases and EHS documentation.
• Deliver safety trainings and safety bulletins.
