Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager for our Charlotte operations in the Nuclear sector.

The role provides health and safety guidance to project teams, audits EHS programs, and collaborates with line management to drive continuous improvements in workplace safety. The position requires 5+ years coordinating health and safety on construction projects, strong knowledge of OSHA regs, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist development of site‑specific safety training and orientation for workers, supervisors and subcontractors.
Review project plans to identify safety risks before work begins.
Liaise with regulatory agencies, inspectors, subcontractors, and the public.
Improve Health and Safety Programs with senior management.
Represent the Company at stakeholder meetings on safety matters.
Support safety and environmental management plans including inspections and audits.
Mentor project staff on safety procedures.
Track and report safety statistics.
Assist in Return to Work and modified duties processes in the field.
