Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred; field options include Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or related science.
• Strong regulatory expertise in environmental, health and safety requirements (OSHA, EPA, state/local laws).
• Experience designing, implementing and auditing safety programs in manufacturing settings.
• Advanced safety education/certifications and relevant work experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental, safety, health policies and procedures compliant with Federal, State, and Local laws including OSHA.
• Lead safety programs to prevent accidents, incidents, and near-misses and to maintain records and training.
• Coordinate internal/external emergency services planning for injured or ill employees.
• Maintain safety data, reports, and statistics for management review and regulatory compliance.
• Plan and conduct monthly inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead accident investigations and prepare materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
