Job summary

Clopay Corporation, headquartered in Ohio, is seeking an EH&S Technician II at the Troy location to lead safety training initiatives and support environmental and regulatory compliance programs. The role involves coordinating external resources, performing internal safety training, and maintaining required records.

Responsibilities include investigating accidents, maintaining OSHA files, and supporting programs like PPE, STOP, confined spaces, and LOTO to ensure a safe manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ yrs of manufacturing experience.
• 2+ yrs of EHS experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
• Regulatory knowledge in safety and environmental reporting.

Responsibilities

• Implement Safety Training Program at Clopay as directed by the Director of EHS; coordinate external training resources and track documents.
• Assist management with Safety Program implementation; review/create safety policies and procedures; conduct workplace inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Assist management with Environmental Program implementation; review/create environmental policies and conduct inspections to meet requirements.
• Conduct accident investigations (safety and environmental); perform root cause analyses and document corrective actions.
• Maintain safety and OSHA-related files; prepare periodic reports and summaries for management; ensure compliance evidence is retained.
• Support management with Training, PPE, STOP, Confined Space, LOTO, Hearing Conservation programs and other safety initiatives as directed.
