Job summary

ERM is seeking an experienced Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to join our San Francisco Bay Area team. You will serve Fortune 500 clients, perform risk assessments, and help design and implement EHS programs across industries in Northern California.

Responsibilities include audits, regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience are required, with travel up to 40 hours/week within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client-focused.
• Willingness to travel to and be at client site(s) for up to 40 hours/week primarily within the Northern California San Fran Bay Area, California.
• Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement innovative safety programs addressing a wide array of safety challenges including auditing/assessments, biohazards, chemical or lab safety, data analysis, electrical safety and NFPA 70E, fire prevention, industrial hygiene, laser safety, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), machine guarding, process hazard assessments, robotics safety, safety process improvement.
• Perform building hazardous materials inspections and hazardous/biohazardous waste inspections, and verify client compliance requirements.
• Support EHS permitting requirements.
• Conduct audits, onsite compliance inspections, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
• Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across all deliverables.
