Job summary

ERM is the world’s largest dedicated team of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professionals. We are seeking a Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety, in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, to lead client engagements and deliver cutting-edge EHS solutions.

You will conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety programs, and guide Fortune 500 clients through regulatory landscapes while traveling to various client sites across the Northern California region.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client-focused.
Willingness to travel to client sites up to 40 hours/week within Northern California Bay Area.

Responsibilities

Help develop and implement innovative safety programs for local/global clients (Auditing/Assessments, Biohazards, Chemical Safety, Industrial Hygiene, NFPA 70E, etc.).
Perform building hazardous materials inspections and verify client compliance obligations.
Support EHS permitting requirements and regulatory compliance across deliverables.
Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
