Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Senior Director of Environment, Health & Safety to lead enterprise EHS strategy across Sparks, NV and De Soto, KS sites. This role directs a centralized EHS team, partners with site leaders, and aligns with Japan-based stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, or a related field
• 15+ years of progressive EHS experience within complex manufacturing or industrial operations
• 10+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for multiple EHS disciplines, teams, and/or sites
• Demonstrated knowledge of environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, enterprise risk management, machine safety, industrial hygiene, and emergency response
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across executive, site, functional, and global stakeholder groups

Responsibilities

• Set and execute PECNA's enterprise EHS strategy, vision, governance framework, and annual operating priorities across all North American operations
• Lead centralized EHS organization spanning Environmental Compliance & Sustainability, People Safety, and Production/Machine Safety
• Establish enterprise EHS standards, policies, and management systems across sites
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, permits, and corporate requirements
• Provide strategic oversight for hazard identification, risk assessment, incident management, and corrective actions
• Lead executive reviews of significant safety incidents and regulatory matters and drive lessons learned
• Oversee EPC and construction safety and contractor safety for capital projects
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, HR, Legal, Facilities, and EPC to embed EHS in daily management
• Champion proactive safety and environmental culture and leadership capability building
• Build enterprise EHS metrics, dashboards, and review mechanisms
