Job summary

Panasonic Energy is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of safety systems at our De Soto, Kansas facility. You will partner with operations, engineering, and facilities to embed safety excellence across all production processes.

The role demands strong leadership, deep knowledge of OSHA and ISO standards, incident investigations, and the ability to drive KPI-based performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• 5+ years of leadership in health and safety within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI standards.
• Experience with safety management systems (ISO 45001/14001) preferred.
• Proficiency in incident investigations and risk assessment.
• English proficiency and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of OHS programs across production.
• Manage core OHS programs: Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Confined Space.
• Establish and monitor OHS KPIs; drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and facilities leadership.
• Serve as liaison with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
